Graduating magna cum laude from Oakland in 2007, Robert entered Professor Phil Sinder’s studio at Michigan State University, where he continued to hone his skills as a euphoniumist. While at MSU he also developed his abilities as a tubist, graduating magna cum laude in 2009 with a Low Brass Specialist degree.
